6-year-old drowns at Skaggs Bridge, north of Kerman

An investigation continues into the tragic drowning of a 6-year-old boy in Fresno County.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, it happened around 9:00 p.m. Monday night near Skaggs Bridge Park, just north of Kerman.

Deputies were called to the scene for a missing child.

They found the boy underwater. He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators do not suspect foul-play.
