Education Matters: FCOE Stays Busy During Summer Break

Now that the school year is winding down, it’s the perfect time to take a look at all the hard work done by the Fresno County Office of Education to ensure the school years runs smoothly.
Fresno County Superintendent of Schools Jim Yovino was on KSEE Sunrise letting us know what all the staff at the County Office works on throughout the school year and summer break.
FCOE serves as a safety net for students with special needs, offering direct services for migrant, special education and court and community school students.
It also provides a full range of support programs and services to school district, such as professional and staff development, curriculum, business and finance support, health and pupil personnel services and legislative leadership and advocacy.
Every Monday throughout the summer, a district official will be on Sunrise to talk about the goings on at the district level.
