Erskine Fire

The type 3 team has officially assume command as of 6 AM today.

Very little fire behavior. Type 3 team will patrol the perimeter of the fire and conduct mop-up operations as needed

All roads remain open with the exception of Piute Mountain Rd which is located within the forest closure area.

Shelters: The Red Cross St. Jude shelter located at 86 Nellie Dent Dr., in Wofford Heights closed at noon yesterday. The shelter at Kernville Elementary will remain open to serve the needs of fire evacuees.

Pacific Crest Trail Temporary Closure: The temporary closure of the PCT between Jawbone Canyon Road and Walker Pass Campground at Hwy 178 has been lifted.

Planned Actions Patrol and mop-up.

Continue to improve fireline.

Continue suppression repair.

Projected Incident Activity Creeping and smoldering is anticipated around isolated islands and should not pose a threat to the fireline. Heavy fuels will continue to burn down until consumed or extinguished. No lateral movement expected.
Remarks Type 3 organization will take command today at 0600 Hrs.

CIIMT 5 (Minton) closeout today at 1000 Hrs at the Bakersfield Office.
