Free Summer Meals Available to Fresno Children

Beginning Tuesday June 16, Fresno Unified is providing kids free lunches. Meals will be available to all youth ages 1 through 18 at more than 40 locations throughout the city. No registration, application or demonstration of financial need is required, but meals must be eaten on site.

(Fresno Unified) Fresno Unified and Calwa Recreation & Park District are teaming up to provide free meals throughout the entire summer beginning June 15 and ending on August 14. Free meals will be offered along with free organized recreational activities at Calwa Park in Southeast Fresno.

For further information, call the Food Services Department at (559) 457-6250. The program is federally funded and administered by the USDA’s Office of Food and Nutrition Services. The district served nearly 200,000 meals last summer.
