Girl Rescued From Water at Millerton Lake

Crews pulled a girl out of the water near Mackenzie point at Millerton Lake on Sunday.

Rangers say, once they started looking, lifeguards found her, unconscious, within two minutes. She had been under water though, for some time.

The area is known for the shoreline dropping off suddenly.

Witnesses say her father was seen struggling in the water trying to find her.

Lifeguards performed CPR and gave the girl oxygen. She was transported to the hospital.

Rangers say her condition is not being released at the request of her family.
