Nurses rally for Ebola preparedness

More than 100 California nurses gathered at the state capitol today to urge the world to follow California’s lead in Ebola preparedness.

On Friday, the state released mandatory Ebola protocols for all California hospitals. All hospitals in the state must give their healthcare workers hands on training on how to care for patients who may have Ebola. Hospitals are also required to provide full-body protective suits and air-purifying respirators to nurses caring for suspected Ebola patients.
