Parlier Teen Continues Recovery, Throws Out First Pitch at High School

Brianna Ramirez has ran onto a softball field hundreds, maybe thousands, of times.  But it probably never felt like this.

Tuesday, the Parlier teenager and Sanger High School softball player returned to throw out the first pitch before her teammates’ playoff game.  It comes three months to the day after the 16-year-old was shot in the eye by a stray bullet linked to gang violence.

"It felt great.  I miss it so much," Brianna said after zipping in a high strike.
