Firefighters are working in very hot and dry weather to gain containment in the rugged terrain. Crews are making good progress on containment lines and protecting structures threatened by the fire. An extended commitment time is expected for resources at scene.

Fire is burning west of French Gulch in steep terrain making access difficult.
