Valley Children’s Hospital gets a generous donation to help build an outpatient specialty care facility. <br /><br />The Leon S. Peters Foundation has pledged $540,000 toward the construction of the facility in Fowler where it will bring expert pediatric care to southern Fresno County. <br /><br />The specialty care center is a joint venture between Valley Children’s Hospital and Adventist Health. Construction is expected to begin later this year just east of Highway 99 near Merced Avenue. The center is expected to open in 2016.<br /><br /></div>
