Bald Fire

Incident Overview:
The fire is burning on Bald Mountain, located within the Hat Creek Ranger District in a remote area of the Lassen National Forest. This area has had no recent fire history, and heavy brush along with steep terrain are hampering firefighting efforts. Indirect lines are being set up to contain the blaze. The fire has extreme potential for spread.
Fire officials are asking the public to stay out of the following areas due to safety concerns and firefighting activity: FS 36N18 south to 34N29, FS 34N29, County Rd. 111 between FS 34N29 and Cinder cone (Popcorn) Rd., and Cinder cone (Popcorn) Rd.
