One person was found dead inside a burned bus parked on a church’s property near Maple and Church. It’s unknown if the person is a male or female, but is said to be an adult, according to Fresno Fire Battalion Chief Thomas Cope.
The fire broke out before 10 p.m.
Witnesses told police a man is known to have lived on the bus, but it’s unknown if that is the deceased person.
The fire spread to the church’s attic, and charred about 20 to 30 percent of the attic.
Few details were available while firefighters and police were on scene. Firefighters and Fresno police are investigating how it started.
