The fire is in mixed brush with heavy timber. There is a continued threat of thunderstorms with numerous lightning strikes and erratic winds.

Patrol and mop-up of the fire will continue for several days. Excess resources are continuing to be released and/or reassigned to other incidents.

New road information: The Big Oak Flat Road is closed between Big Oak Flat Entrance Gate to the junction of Highway 140. This is a hard closure until further notice for the public, employees and residents. Tioga Road is open to Crane Flat.
