Christmas Cheer For Seniors

PACE has been operating in Fresno since August 2014, but already has 70 members. The non-profit senior care center provides various services to Seniors in our community including, transportation, medical care, activities, and in home nurse care. After noticing that many of their members often spend the holidays alone, organizers from PACE decided to launch a program that would give every member the opportunity to have a gift. The program is called ‘Santa for a Senior’, and it relies on the generosity of the community. The program requires people in the community to ‘adopt’ a senior for the holidays and buy an item or two off of their wish list. Many of the items are small ticket items like blankets, warm clothing, and snack foods. If you are interested in being a ‘Santa for a Senior’ you can stop by the PACE office at 2042 Kern Street in Downtown Fresno on the corner of Kern and Van Ness.
