College of the Sequoias gets full accreditation

College of the Sequoias has turned things around and returned to full accreditation. <br /><br />Back in February of 2013, the Accreditating Commission for Community and Junior Colleges warned COS that it was close to losing its accreditation, which would basically force the school to close. <br /><br />In response, the school’s president says they made major internal changes, including a new master plan and alterations to how the school is governed and resources are shared. Now, with full accreditation, the college can now focus on what’s important.<br /><br />&quot;Accreditation is our quality assurance to our community. Students want to know that they are going to a fully accredited institution. And because of how things are running now, all strategies for student improvement is more successful,&quot;&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 13.3333330154419px;">Stan Carrizosa, President of COS, said.&nbsp;<br /><br /></span>The College of the Sequoias has three south valley campuses.<br /><br /></div>
