Could a “superstorm” be heading toward California?

Experts say a superstorm, capable of dumping 10 to 12 inches of water in a week, could hit the Bay Area, and parts of the Central Valley!

Scientists based the assertion on historical data, which shows a superstorm hitting California once approximately every 150 years. The last superstorm hit the state in 1850.

"It killed about a quarter of the economy. The Central Valley was literally under water for weeks," Sean Randolph, from the Bay Area Council, said.

Some estimate the superstorm could cause up to $ 10 billion in damages.
