Here she is with her youngest son not long before her life would be cut tragically short.

Jaqueline Bateman discovered her sister’s body on August 1, 2011. Norris was virtually unrecognizable, fire had torn through a large portion of her Squaw Valley home, her remains were burned and badly decomposed. The investigation into her death has turned up no real answers as to what exactly happened, but Bateman says she knows someone is responsible for taking her sister’s life.

Although detectives haven’t named a suspect in the case, Bateman has a very strong suspicion of who it could be, but can’t say publicly in order to protect the investigation. As time passes, and her sister’s case becomes merely a faint memory to others, Bateman says the quest for justice becomes harder and harder, but she holds on to the belief that one day the truth will eventually come out.

If you have any information on the death of Alicia Lee Norris please call Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP.

You will remain anonymous and your tip could be worth up to $1,000.
