Mariposa Fire

Critical Fire Conditions in Wyoming

Increasing flow aloft coupled with a strengthening surface pressure gradient will help support sustained westerly winds around 25 to 30 MPH with gusts over 35 MPH. This combined with a very dry air mass and temperatures expected to climb into the low to mid 80S will result in a critical fire weather threat across central Wyoming. Elevated to locally critical fire weather conditions exist across the most of the remaining portion of Wyoming. Elevated conditions are also present in northern California and southern Oregon.
