Deputies use taser to subdue woman on a rooftop

Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies had to use a taser to subdue a woman on a rooftop this morning.

Deputies say Christina Valenzuela, 28, climbed on to the roof of a vacant home on the 3500 block of East Weldon.

She grabbed a 13 ft antenna and threw it down at the property manager, hitting him in the leg. When deputies arrived, they found her lying on stomach, speaking incoherently. They tried to talk her down, but she wouldn’t budge. She became combative when deputies got on the rooftop and approached her. Valenzuela hit one deputy on the head and was then tasered. She was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for a psychiatric evaluation.
