Driver may face DUI charges after accident in Madera

A suspected drunk driver is facing DUI charges this morning after an accident in Madera County. <br /><br />Officials say it happened around 8 o-clock last night on Highway 41 near Avenue 12. Investigators say a Dodge pick-up going south, veered into oncoming traffic. The truck hit a white sedan and trapped both drivers inside their vehicles. <br /><br />&quot;There is significant damage to both cars, so yes they were very lucky,&quot;&nbsp;Sgt. Lincoln McKenna, CHP&nbsp;said.&nbsp;<br /><br />Investigators say both drivers were wearing seat belts and that likely prevented more serious injuries. Officials closed the highway for several hours to investigate. <br /><br />The driver at fault, will faces charges of driving under the influence.<br /><br /></div>
