Esmeralda Soria, who won the District One Fresno City Council race is thanking her supporters.
“I am humbled by the support of District 1 residents, and would like to thank all of my supporters for their hard work and encouragement throughout this journey. over the past 14 months I’ve had the opportunity to speak with thousands of voters, and because of their support I will now serve the people of district 1,” she said.
It was a close race between Soria and Cary Catalano. Soria defeated Catalano for the District One seat by 422 votes. The Fresno County Clerk will certify the results in December.
