Family says Coach Tarkanian's condition is "minute by minute

Former Fresno State and UNLV head men’s basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian remains in a Las Vegas hospital this morning. <br /><br />The Las Vegas Review Journal reports that the pro basketball Hall of Famer was admitted with an infection and low blood pressure. <br /><br />We spoke with Jerry Tarkanian’s son, Danny, at about 9:30 this morning. He told us his father’s condition is a &quot;minute by minute deal,&quot; and, &quot;it’s not good at all.&quot; <br />The&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 13.3333330154419px;">Las Vegas Review Journal reports</span>&nbsp;that Tarkanian was unresponsive and under heavy medication yesterday as doctors fought to get his blood pressure elevated. <br /><br />Tarkanian has had a history of health problems in recent years. He had his second heart attack last year, and has had trouble breathing and talking. <br /><br />Tarkanian led UNLV to the national title in 1990. He coached Fresno State, his alma mater, from 1995-2002, and was inducted into the pro-basketball hall of fame in 2013. The bulldogs retired Tark’s number two jersey last year.<br /><br />Coincidentally, the Fresno State Men’s basketball team is in Las Vegas, they play UNLV tonight at seven at the Thomas and Mack Center.<br /><br /></div>
