Fresno Aids Walk

There’s a very special event going on this weekend – one that promises to bring people together from all walks of live.

Toni Harrison joined us to talk more on the 3rd annual Fresno Aids Walk, presented by WestCare California proudly on Saturday, November 22, at Woodward Park’s Park View Shelter. This event will pay tribute to those that we have lost and those who are infected, affected, or at risk of HIV/AIDs. All proceeds raised by walkers, donations, teams, and sponsors will support The Living Room, a project of WestCare California and Fresno’s only HIV/AIDs social support center. This year’s walk is proudly sponsored by Macy’s, Aetna, The Lavender Caucus and many other generous businesses and organizations!

Festivities will begin at 10 a.m. with same-day registration and pre-walk addresses from influential figures in our local community. The walk and separate 5k run will begin at noon. Following the walk will be a health fair with various community organizations and vendors, an awards ceremony for top grossing walkers and teams, as well as live entertainment. As a continued tradition, we will be releasing doves in memory of those that we have lost. The Living Room, located at 901 e Belmont, has been serving the Fresno area with support and outreach to those affected, infected or at risk of contracting the hiv/aids virus.
