Fresno to get new state loan and revised water rate

The city of Fresno is working on a revised water rate proposal. <br /><br />Mayor Ashley Swearengin, along with city Councilmember Steve Brandau and other leaders made the announcement this morning. <br /><br />They say Fresno will get a new state loan of $186 million with an interest rate of 1.66%. The proposal would raise the average monthly water bill to $49.22. The current average is $24.49. <br /><br />The revised plan will be considered by city council on February 26th.<br /><br /></div>
