Fresno Fire Captain Pete Dern is getting more help as he continues to recover.
He was severely burned while battling a house fire back on March 29th. Today, the Copper River Country Club donated $ 14,000 to Dern and his family, at Fire Station 17. The money was raised, during a fundraiser tournament that was held last week, in honor of Dern.
"On behalf of Captain Dern, his wife Kelly, and the Fresno Fire Department, we want to extend our very heartfelt thanks to the folks at Copper River, and the folks who participated in the tournament," Rich Cabral said.
Captain Dern is still recovering from his severe burns.
