Governor's Mansion to close for renovation

In Sacramento the Governor’s Mansion State Historic Park is closing to the public for renovations.

The work will preserve and protect the home which was built in 1877. It was originally owned by a Sacramento businessman and purchased by the state in 1903.

It’s housed 13 governors and their families through 1967. The mansion will close to the public in January.
