Hotel Fresno may become apartments

Fresno City Council is expected to vote on a $21 million plan to bring the historic Hotel Fresno back to life.

It was built in 1912 and is now vacant. It’s been in shambles for years. There’s a plan to turn it into a 70-unit apartment complex.

Apec International is in the process of buying it, but there are strict guidelines on how the city uses taxpayer money on private projects like this.
