Dried out Christmas trees are one of the biggest fire hazards during the holidays, but keeping you try from drying out can be a challenge.&nbsp; Melissa Bautista, owner of Hillcrest Tree Farm in Reedley says there are many at home remedies that people use, but nothing is better than regular watering.&nbsp; Keeping your thermostat below the 70’s will help prolong your tree’s life.&nbsp; Other heating sources you want to avoid include, a window that faces west or south, place your tree near a fire place or wood stove, and making sure any of the vents near the tree are closed so it doesn’t hit the tree directly.</div>
