The Meadow Fire, located east of the Trail of 100 Giants in the Western Divide Ranger District is being evaluated as a fire managed for resource benefits. Currently, this fire is about an acre in size, spreading slowly along the ground with active fire high in an overhead tree. As conditions allow, fire managers will allow this fire to function in its natural ecological role.
