Sheriff's dept. fighting crime from above in the South Valley

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Department is beefing up it’s air unit. It’s adding one plane to the fleet and a full-time pilot. Right now, there’s only one plane in the hangar but it has played a big role in dropping crime rates. The sheriff says ag theft has decreased drastically. Observers in the plane have been spotting walnut thieves during harvest season and helping deputies put them behind bars.</div>
