Current Fire ConditionsAs of 6A.M. today, Northern California Interagency (NorCal) IMT 2 has assumed command of the South Complex (Hyampom area) which includes the Pattison Fire (Formerly known as the Gates Fire), the Castle Fires, Pelletreau Fire, and the Kerlin Fire. All firefighting resources associated with these will be based at the Hyampom Airport. The public information phone line for both complexes will remain the same today. The inversion layer that has been moderating fire behavior is predicted to lift today, with increased winds and drier conditions expected in the afternoon. Although temperatures are predicted to remain relatively cool for this time of year, this increase in wind and instability may result in more active fire behavior.
