Suspect in Islamic Center Vandalism Identified

Fresno Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the vandalism at the Islamic Cultural Center of Fresno. Police Chief Jerry Dyer called it a hate crime. <br /><br />The center is located in North Fresno on Maple and Nees Avenues. Police say a suspect vandalized the center Christmas Morning.<br /><br />The suspect was identified Saturday as 28-year-old Asif Mohammad Khan. <br /><br />Seven windows were broken and bleach was poured on an American Flag inside of the center. <br /><br />&quot;We pray for guidance, we pray for guidance for ourselves and we also pray for his guidance,&quot; Reza Nekumanesh the manager of the Islamic Center said. &quot;Because obviously he is a little misguided to want to cause damage and destruction to a center that does so much good to the community.&quot;<br /></div>
