Teachers accused of sex with a student appeared in court

Two Clovis Unified school employees accused of having sex with the same student made an appearance in court. <br /><br />Matthew Pena, 32, taught photography and coached baseball and golf at Clovis High. He did not enter a plea. <br /><br />Dwayne Andrews, 30, was a sub and walk-on coach at the school. He’s also a former standout linebacker for Fresno State. Andrews pleaded not guilty to five counts of unlawful sexual intercourse. <br /><br />Police say the victim is a student at Clovis High School. They say she was 17 at the time of the crimes, but is now 18. Both Pena and Andrews are no longer employed with the district. They’ll be back in court late next month.<br /><br /></div>
