The Tower District celebrates Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras celebrations are underway in Fresno’s Tower District. <br /><br />Yesterday, Olive Avenue was shut down for a parade. Marchers, floats and bands donned colorful costumes. It’s meant to bring a little bit of New Orleans to the Valley and is one of the highlights of The Tower. <br /><br />&quot;I usually come out every year to support the Tower District, everything from Mardi Gras to the Rogue Festival. I love to come out. It’s the best area, it’s got a lot of culture here and stuff,&quot;&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 13.3333330154419px;">Robert Stitt, a Mardi Gras visitor said.<br /><br /></span>Mardi Gras, which means Fat Tuesday, is tomorrow. Businesses in the Tower District offer special menus.<br /><br /></div>
