Travel Back to Normal at FYI

Fresno Yosemite Airport is back to business as usual Tuesday morning , after white out conditions grounded flight for four hours on Monday morning.  There were five canceled flights on Monday due to low visibility, which at times was lower than 500 feet.  Several travelers who had to spend an extra day in Fresno were back at the airport this morning trying to get on the next flight out.  Fresno Yosemite International Airport spokesperson, Rhonda Jorn says, weather it’s snow or rain always check in directly with the airline for the most accurate information on delays.  Flights weren’t the only thing impacted by the foggy conditions, school kids getting ready to return to school from winter break got an extra day of vacation.  Districts like Central union and Lemoore were forced to cancel school bus routes, and the California Highway Patrol saw a high volume of calls reporting car wreck on Valley freeways.
