Twin Fire (Wildfire)

Fire crews are suppressing the Twin fire, a new fire burning in grass, sage and timber within the Doublehead Ranger District. The approximatley 50 acre Twin Fire, is located at 43N 6E SEC 15 of the Modoc National Forest. Cooperation and collaboration with other federal agencies; state, local, and tribal government agencies; and volunteer fire departments are critical to safe and effective wildfire response. Fires in the Forest may be reported to the Modoc Interagency Communications Center (MICC), by calling 530-233-4581 or 911. The MICC coordinates and dispatches resources to respond to wildland fires within the Modoc National Forest, Lava Beds National Monument, Klamath Basin and Modoc National Wildlife Refuges.
