Firefighters investigate early morning house fire

Fire crews are investigating the cause of a fire that burned a vacant home in central Fresno.

Shortly after 2:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, crews responded to a structure fire near Belmont and Van Ness.

When firefighters arrived in the area, they found a vacant house fully involved with fire on college street.

Firefighters say the damage to the house is around $ 40 thousand dollars.

According to a security patrol in the area, several squatters lived in the home.

No injuries were reported and no one was found inside the structure.
