2 People Dead in DUI Crash Near Chowchilla

Two people were killed in a car accident north of Chowchilla that the California Highway Patrol says was caused by a drunk driver. 

The crash happened around 5 p.m. Friday near Highway 99 and Avenue 27. 

CHP investigators say the truck driven by the suspected drunk driver crashed into the roof of the other vehicle, killing the two people inside. 

The names of the people killed have not been released.
