8 search warrants served across Fresno

Fresno Police served eight search warrants today across the city.

This morning, officers were in the area of Jensen and Walnut. We’re told, investigating the numerous gang-related shootings in the last few weeks. Police say they found their presence today was a welcome sign, for neighbors.

"When we’re in these neighborhoods we’ve had nothing but good things from the community that have said to us thank you for getting involved because there are many good people who live here,"  Lt. Mark Salazar, with the Fresno Police Department, said.

Fresno police say so far, they’ve recovered one gun. It will now be tested, to see if it’s connected to any recent shootings.
