Bakersfield Built: An Earthquake, A High School Teacher And A Pipeline For Architects

Bakersfield is well known in the arts for its contributions to country music, notably the Bakersfield Sound. But it’s not as well recognized for its architecture. Listen to the interview above to hear Sian Winship, president of the Southern California Chapter of the Society of Architectural Historians, tell us more.
