Billboard Drought Train vs. Dam

Fresno City Council Member, Steve Brandau has unveiled a second billboard on the issue of the state’s drought and high speed rail.

This sign was put up at the intersection of Highway 99 and American, near Fowler, and it reads "Governor, it’s about priorities."

The two billboards are being paid for by a combination of campaign funds and private donations. They show thumbs down to high speed rail and thumbs up for building dams – for more water storage that could help in drought years.

Brandau says the signs are meant to trigger debate over the state’s controversial High Speed Rail project.
