Brush Fire Sparked by Beach Towel

Fire officials say a beach towel is to blame for sparking a brushfire that burned two acres near Oakhurst.

The blaze shut down Highway 41 near, Road 425 for several hours on Wednesday.

Officials say the beach towel was being dragged under a car and it created enough heat to ignite dry grass near the roadway.

Highway Patrol officers detained the driver.

There is no word on if he will face charges.
