Burglars Caught on Camera

A home break-in caught on camera. And a clear view of the suspects police are looking for.

The criminals broke into a home near Fresno High School.

The two burglars pried open a back door to break into a home near Palm and McKinley.
One of the thieves spots the security camera, points at it with a screw driver and warns his accomplice to cover his face.
The second suspect makes a half-hearted attempt with a towel.
The thieves took that security camera and some electronics from the house.

"There’s been some break-ins in the neighborhood," said Scott McDaniel who lives in the area where the burglary occurred. "We all know each other. It’s mostly all home owners not a lot of renters. Everybody talks. We’re out in the front yards a lot. So we know when there’s something going on," McDaniel said.

It’s concerning when someone’s home is violated like this.
Alarm system signs dot the lawns in the neighborhood.
And some home owners have thought about adding cameras.

"Technology with the actual cameras themselves has gotten better," said Jin Thao with Turner Security.

Thao says it’s rare to get such a clear view from surveillance cameras. But they are more popular with some security systems.

"I think the back bone starts with the alarm system. The camera is the extra tool to make the security of your property a little bit better," Thao said.

Because as in this case it can give a clear look at the suspects.
Take a look one more time.
The first man has a scar on the left side of his head. and tattoos on both forearms.
The second man has a long pony tail.

If you recognize the suspects, contact Fresno Police Detective Chris Franks at 621-6532. Or call Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP. You can remain anonymous.
