Capt. Pete Dern is now able to walk short distances

Fire Chief Kerri Donis says Dern continues to improve.

He’s now able to walk short distances and is doing therapy every day.  He was in surgery again yesterday, and will undergo surgery twice a week for the next three or four months.

Donis says he’s talking and is in good spirits, and very appreciative of the community’s support.
