Caught on Video: Suspect Captured by K-9

Two men are behind bars, arrested after they lead deputies on a chase. The suspects drove over sidewalks and through yards trying to escape.<br /><br />Their arrest was captured on camera by the CHP plane which was assisting deputies.<br /><br />Just before one Wednesday morning, a deputy on patrol near McLane High School in Fresno saw a pickup truck that was reported stolen. When he tried to pull it over, the driver sped off.<br />Deputy Todd Burk followed the stolen pickup.<br /><br />&quot;At one point he drove across a sidewalk, drove onto somebody’s front yard. Seventy miles per hour down public streets. Went through a red light or two. Luckily there was hardly any traffic out,&quot; Burk said.<br /><br />The driver in the stolen pickup took a turn, drove over another lawn and lost control, fish-tailing before crashing into a fence. Both the driver and the passenger jumped out and ran.<br /><br />&quot;A lot of these criminals in stolen cars after the felony pursuit, after the vehicle pursuit, they just want to get away,&quot; Burk said.<br /><br />Deputies say the driver, 23-year-old Michael Samanc, was captured first. Burk’s K-9 partner Kajo caught up to him as he tried to run away, and took him into custody.<br /><br />The other man in the car, identified by the sheriff’s department as Desean Eades, jumped over fences and ran through yards. <br /><br />The CHP plane above directed deputies and police officers to his location. And a second K-9, Tango, moved in.<br /><br />Officers found guns, ammo, a knife, methamphetamine and burglary tools in the stolen pickup.<br /></div>
