Central Valley Honor Flights Embarks on Seventh Journey

Dozens of local veterans from our greatest generation are once again headed to the nation’s capitol.
The seventh Central Valley Honor Flight left from the Fresno airport Tuesday morning, headed to Washington, D.C.
During the next few days, the 67 veterans will visit several monuments including the World War II memorial.
The trip is a way to thank our veterans for their service.

Private and public donations make the trip possible. Each flight costs nearly $ 100,000.
This will also be the first flight for several Korean War veterans who will also be on the trip.
KSEE24’s Patrick Nelson is embarking on the journey with the vets and will be reporting live from DC on various newscasts during the next few days.
The group will return to Fresno Thursday around 6:30pm.
The community is invited to welcome them back to give these veterans the welcome home reception many of them never received.
