Changes Within Sanger City Goverment

One day after the mayor of Sanger suddenly announced his resignation, more changes for the city.  At tonight’s city council meeting, an interim city manager was appointed.  These are turbulent times for the Sanger and it’s city government. Dozens of residents turned out tonight to let the council know they’re watching.
  S
anger council members decided Debbie Sultan will serve as interim city manager until a permanent replacement is found.  Sultan steps in for Brian Haddix who held the post for five years– and even survived an attempt to fire him in December.  He’s heading north, taking a job as city manager in Chowchilla.

What’s yet to be decided is how to deal with the sudden departure of mayor Joshua Mitchell.  He spoke out last night, blaming threats against his family and conflicts with the council for his decision.  He said, "

I could  no longer watch my wife be followed, be a. we’ve had our tires slashed, my house has been vandalized several times, my office has been broken into several times, my house has been broken into once, i’ve had my campaign office this last go round burned down."

There is talk of a recall of some council members.  some say they want their mayor back.  It’s clear the turbulent times in Sanger may continue for a while.
