Chukchansi faction leader injured in jail

Tex McDonald, the leader of one faction of the Chukchansi tribe, has been injured in jail. According to his lawyer, McDonald was involved in some sort of fight at the jail. McDonald may have a broken jaw and has a large gash on his neck, but was not hospitalized. McDonald and fellow faction member, Vernon King, have been in jail since they turned themselves in last week. Repeated calls to the Madera County Department of Corrections were not returned.
