Cinco de Mayo celebrated in downtown Fresno

Cinco de Mayo isn’t until tomorrow, but thousands came out to downtown Fresno to celebrate a little early.

Live music, dancing and food filled the Fulton Mall yesterday. Many came out with their families to celebrate Mexican culture. Several popular bands were also a big draw.

"I really wanted to see the Aztec dancers and Banda el Limon, which is a pretty well known Mexican band. A lot of people are out here for that," Leonel Leal, who was enjoying the music, said.

The free event was organized by the Downtown Fresno Partnership.
