Civil suit filed against former Clovis Police officer

We have continuing coverage today on a civil lawsuit against a former Clovis Police Officer.

In September, Kyle Pennington pleaded "no contest" to a domestic violence charge. He went on trial over allegations he beat and assaulted his girlfriend.

Now the victim is suing Pennington, his parents and the cities of Clovis and Sanger, where the crimes occurred, for damages. He was sentenced to 30 days in county jail and three years of probation under the plea agreement.
