The Dove Fire began June 7th, at 12:30 in the area of Jerseydale work center. Initial attack of the fire was successful, as fire fighters were able to put a perimeter around both side of the fire by 5pm. They were able to stop the forward progression of the fire by 8pm and it was pronounced contained at that time. All 100 personnel remain on scene and will work for the next few days, June 8th and 9th crews will be involved in heavy mop up and putting out hot spots.
The fire stands at 50 acres and is 100% contained.
